George William Hill

George William Hill was born on October 12, 1876 and was the first of five sons born to John and Mary Ann Watson Hill.

On December 10, 1903, George married Mary E. Olson and together they worked a farm in Annaton, Wisconsin, just a few miles to the west of Livingston. Their family eventually grew to four children—three daughters and a son. Their first daughter Margery was born in 1905 and she would eventually marry Frederick Lemanski. Hazel was the second daughter born to George and Mary (1914), and their third daughter, Beulah, was born in 1919. They also had a son named Russell who was born in 1912.

George died on September 15, 1958 and is buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery near Livingston. Mary Olson Hill died in Platteville less than a year later on April 26, 1959.
